Adventurous Journey of Luis Kennedy
Luis Kennedy is an adopted Guatemalan Snowboardcross athlete raised in Canandaigua, New York. He began snowboarding at the age of four at a local ski resort, and eventually began competing at regional and national level competitions.
During this time Kennedy had little to no access to formal training, jumping into competitions on a whim and no time on course outside of those competitions. Luis has been competing on the North American Cup circuit since 2021, but only entering one race of the 2022-2023 season. He currently is attending the University of Utah and is aiming to represent his home country of Guatemala on the World Cup circuit while concurrently working to gain admission to dental school.
